George S. Mackey is a graduate of Hendrix College (Conway, AR) where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting. He has over 23 years of accounting experience and has been in private practice for 13 years. His accounting background includes Staff Accountant for Ernst and Young (one of the “Big Four” Accounting Firms-Little Rock, AR), Senior Auditor for JPMS Cox PLLC (Little Rock, AR), Chief Financial Officer for Pocahontas Federal (Pocahontas, AR) and Vice President for Finance and Administration for Arkansas Development Finance Authority (Little Rock, AR). Mr. Mackey has served on numerous boards in his community including Choosing to Excel, Hendrix College Alumni Association, and HOBY. Mr. Mackey currently serves as an adjunct instructor at Hendrix where he teaches Business and Entrepreneurship. One of his most rewarding positions is that of a deacon where he currently serves
